Description

During the #JECWorld26 exhibition, Uncrewed organised three days of intensive discussions alongside 15 Ukrainian manufacturers from the aerospace, composites and unmanned systems sectors. Over the course of these three days, we demonstrated one key point: cooperation with Ukraine is possible across all areas of aerospace and defence.

Europe, public or private: how to finance innovation?

Accelerating the growth of dual technologies requires overcoming a major obstacle: access to capital. Between public programs, private investors, and new participatory investment models, sources of financing are diversifying but still struggle to meet the sector's needs. This roundtable brings together complementary perspectives from the technological, financial, and civic ecosystems to identify obstacles, share solutions, and highlight successes.

Uncrewed, the unmanned business event days.

UNcrewed is a European initiative dedicated to unmanned solutions — drones, land and sea robots, software and autonomous systems — for security and resilience. It brings together, throughout the year, public, industrial and innovative decision-makers around the same objective: to transform operational needs into concrete cooperation. Digital Days open the dialogue, giving voice to users and solution holders. One-to-One Days extend this dynamic through pre-qualified business meetings that accelerate projects. Together, these two days make UNcrewed a catalyst for innovation and European...

Hybrid Warfare & Dual Use

Hybrid warfare? Unidentified drone flights over sensitive civilian infrastructure such as airports in Denmark, Poland, and Germany show that Europe is unprepared for this new form of warfare that dare not speak its name. So, can military means be used to combat a threat that is not really a threat, or has hybrid warfare given rise to dual-use equipment, which can be used for both civilian and military purposes?

A wall, what wall?

Hybrid warfare or false flag operation? The verdict is still out and experts are investigating but one thing is for sure : the latest incidents in Denmark, Poland and Germany made the obvious unavoidable: Eurrope is not ready for a drone escalation, from probe flights to full scale attack such as Ukraine is experiencing. We asked James Acuna what is take on the situation is. Is a drone wall an actionable solution or what would be the best steps to implement a truly accurate defense against drone warfare ranging from hybrid to full-on?
