Description
James Acuna is a former senior operations officer with more than 30 years of experience in intelligence, international security, and advanced technology. After his government career, he moved into the unmanned systems domain, founding Frontier Vectors LLC and later Baltic Ghost Wing, an Estonia-based center focused on drone training, testing, and tactics development under contested conditions. He has deep expertise in UAS (unmanned aerial systems) and CUAS (counter-UAS) strategy, combining operational insight with systems integration and advisory roles.
In 2025, Ondas Holdings launched Ondas Capital, a new defense-technology investment arm with plans to deploy over $150 million over two years to scale mature, combat-proven unmanned and autonomous solutions in allied defense markets. James Acuna was appointed to lead the Ondas Capital investment program, overseeing both strategic advisory and direct investments. Under his leadership, Ondas Capital intends to prioritize Eastern Europe (especially Ukraine), while building bridges to U.S. and European defense ecosystems.
